Nicole and Dwayne | Butterfly Gap Retreat Wedding Photography | Maryville, TN

We were privileged to celebrate with Nicole & Dwayne at their Butterfly Gap wedding in March. Nicole & Dwayne are two of the most genuine and caring people that I have ever met, and their wedding day was bursting with raw emotion and genuine love.

The weather was beautiful, even though the day before it had snowed!! The last bits of white stuff had melted away by midday, though, and we were left with just a crisp chill to the air and lots of bright blue skies.

Their first reactions to each other:

An emotional moment during the ceremony..

I absolutely adore the "oh my gosh, we're married!" moments that happen just after the ceremony ends.

Skipping along the bank for a quick photo session:

A few detail shots...

They did something a little different during the reception and arranged to have a pinata for the kids to whack around!

It was a big hit! (no pun intended)

This little girl plopped herself down in the middle of the candy pile and began to carefully unwrap as many candies as she could. The hilarious part was I don't think she ever ate any of it.. she'd just gently place the unwrapped chocolate on the ground, and grab the next one. SO funny!!

A final dance as the night wound down...

Since Butterfly Gap has such neat architecture with awesome light inside, we wanted to take just a second to grab a few shots to show it off!

Thank you guys so much!!

Don't you love BGR? It's such a great venue for weddings, and they're so easy to work with. The shot on the dock is wonderful. I wish we could have a blue sky like that every day.
