Kelly and Richard | Downtown Chattanooga Wedding Photography | Chattanooga, TN

Kelly & Richard were married in downtown Chattanooga at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. This church has a beautiful sanctuary with stunning architecture and lots of character. Because we were doing most of our shooting during the hottest and brightest part of the day, it was great to have such a nice indoor location to take advantage of.

Kelly had told us that she really liked this window and requested a few shots in front of it.

We had their pre-ceremony "first look" in the sanctuary. I love the grain that I get with high-ISO black and white images. I think it adds a depth and texture to the photo, so whenever we are shooting candidly using available light.. we embrace that grain!

The bear that Richard is holding has been a part of their relationship since the very beginning. His name is Richie, and Richard dressed him up a in tuxedo to surprise Kelly on the wedding day. Isn't that sweet?

This little man got to hold a sword during some of the group shots, and he thought that was pretty cool.

St. Peter & Paul has the most incredible ceiling!

We love to follow the wedding party into their hiding room right after the ceremony, as that is the time when some of the most genuine moments will occur.

Over at the Walden Club, we were met with one of the funniest groomscakes we've ever seen. Mr. Staypuft on top just kills me. When they cut the cake, the DJ played the Ghostbusters theme.. who you gonna call?

Cutting the wedding cake..

They both took swings at each other, but utilizing finely-tuned skills of evasion, they both stayed clean!

After Kelly's dad gave a heartfelt toast, I got this image of him collecting himself after returning to his seat. In the past, I have actually heard apologies from people for showing emotion in front of the cameras. The truth is, images that show real candid emotion are our absolute favorites.

A stolen kiss in the elevator on the way down to the get away car.

Next up: Leslee & Nick's e-session!
