Allison & Matt held their ceremony and reception at their church in West Knoxville. I decided to debut some new super-size images with their blog feature!
When we arrived, the girls were getting ready in a classroom in the church:

Allison had wanted to do a bridal session with us, but due to planning her wedding from out of town the scheduling didn't work out. Instead, Allison opted to use part of her wedding day coverage to include a few more portraits than we usually do on the wedding day.
Before the wedding, some concern was expressed to me that the church was not very "photogenic" However, I'm a firm believer that there is always something to shoot at any location. Allison's church had large windows in the narthex, as well as some shutters that, when cracked open, allowed little streams of light to peek through. It did the trick!

I loved the beautiful light in the church during their first moments together
During the ceremony, Allison absolutely glowed as she was escorted by her dad to the altar.

Cakes at the reception were provided by Elaine Mason of "I Do" cakes. Elaine bakes some of the most delicious wedding cake we have ever tasted, and we always try to recommend her to our clients who are still looking for someone to do their bridal cake. Yum yum yum!
Allison was serenaded by some of her sorority sisters

We caught this sweet moment between Allison's parents toward the end of the reception
A sparkler send-off ended the day!
Next up: Lindsey & Adam's e-session!
