We rarely share our personal images on this blog, but I thought I would shift gears from posting our professional work to show a few photos from our holiday trip.
This year, we made our trek out to CA old world style and took a cross-country train. The entire country, save for a few hundred miles in the midwest, was covered in snow, and scenery was brilliant. As we approached California, we ended up in an 8 hour delay due to the Mojave Desert being completely snowed under - unheard of!
A part of the country *not* buried in snow.
Sunrise just east of the Mojave - waiting on the train to move.

As we creeped slowly through the Cajon Pass, the clouds were thick and heavy, tinted by the sun trying to burn its way through. It was surreal.

A tiny peek at the desert hiding beneath all of the snow.
Stay tuned tomorrow evening - I have a couple more album designs to share!

Beautiful photos. I love visiting the mid-west. It has its own amazing, majestic beauty. I'm always inspired but happy to come back home to the green rolling hills of East TN.
